I’ve just moved my website to a new web hosting company. I was a bit worried about doing it because it’s a Wordpress site and things can go wrong! But I had to do it – the company I was with wasn’t going to meet my needs in the future.

This site was being hosted with an Australian company and I have no complaints with them. They suited me fine for the past 12 months. The problem was that I also have several other sites and more that I’m planning and so as it stands today, I currently have 4 hosting companies that I’ve paid in the past 12 months and 4 current hosting plans on the go!

But, I’ve found the solution – a web hosting company called HostGator. I paid about $110.00 Australian for 12 months hosting. I signed up for the ‘Baby Croc’ plan and I can host as many sites there as I wish, with unlimited bandwidth, unlimited disk space and a whole lot more. I’m moving all my sites there and building my new ones with no restrictions. No worries about extra hosting costs – Good Stuff!

Even better tho is their support, which I’ve made use of a few times in the last few days. You see, I made the mistake of not reading their site properly when I signed up, and I tried to move this site over myself – it didn’t work! But, they have 24/7 support and I have used their chat system 3 times to try to work out what I’d done wrong with 3 different members of their staff. What I’d missed when I signed up was that they will move your site when you sign up with them for free! So I filled in the online form last night after my last chat with a member of their support crew and they were on to it a couple of hours later. My site was moved, up and running by the time I got out of bed this morning.

The staff at HostGator are quick, dedicated and always there when you need them – even through Xmas! I can’t speak highly enough of the service I have had in just my first week, and am extremely thankful that they were recommended to me by someone else (very experienced) who uses them.

If you’re looking for a new web host for your web site or sites, check them out. You won’t regret it!
