Yes I agree. I can definitely do without the tapeworms! And slow weight loss is always going to be a better result than fast – however I know that for myself the most success I every get with my weight is when I focus on my health and not on the weight. If you read my recent posts you’ll see that I’ve actually gone back to a raw diet – for my health – I feel it’s best for me at this point in time.

  • The point of the article and fasting is not weightloss – it is health. Weightloss might come as an extra bonus, but often doesn’t stay – especially if the fast is done and then a return to ‘normal’ diet resumes. Fasting is great for resolving health issues, but long term changes to health are important also for lasting success.

  • Low Diastolic Blood Pressure – I just learned something
    Hi Joan,
I’ve had a bit of trouble with being light headed or dizzy off and on but I do have trouble with my ears, so have put it down to that. It might just have been my blood pressure also tho now that I think about it.
I did consider my BP when we were in Adelaide last year as I was really having a bit of trouble with the dizzy head and because Mum and Dad were there at the time, they mentioned that my Aunt Rae has low BP.
I’d say from what I’ve just learned tho that because you’re diastolic BP is sitting at around 60 it is on the low side and it may be responsible for your dizziness. To really be sure about your readings, you could get a monitor for home and check it over a few days, because it will vary from one to the next. Then you’ll know if it’s consistently low or if it’s even dropping lower perhaps.
Hope it gets better for you – I know what the dizzy head is like!

  • Looking at Nutrition Labels when you shop? You’re wasting your time….
Hi Danica, thanks for your comment and good point! The added sodium that is in most packaged foods is processed salt ie Sodium Chloride and should be avoided by everyone – not only those with hypertension. However if someone was buying for example a product made by a company that actually cared about what went into it’s food and had added ‘real’ salt and by that I mean unprocessed salt with it’s minerals intact such as Himalayan salt or Celtic sea salt, then even for those with hypertension this is not a problem as it has a very different effect on the body.
The same goes for sugar content. You might have one product containing some sort of fruit or other more natural sugar but with a low sugar content and one containing Aspartame as a sweetener with no sugar content – however the Aspartame in the second product will make blood sugar levels more uncontrollable as has been shown in studies, as well as damaging health overall as it can contribute to weight issues, cause depression and other mental issues as well as being a neurotoxin and possibly causing MS or even brain tumors! If you look only at the nutritional labels the second product will say it has no sugar and therefore look like the more healthy product, but that is obviously not the case when you look at the ingredients (assuming you know the dangers of Aspartame of course).
It’s great to finally be getting some decent comments rather than spam! Thanks again.

Thanks for the comment. It’s a difficult to have sites that appear perfectly on all the different browsers. As long as they appear correctly on the main ones, that is ok by me to be honest. I’d never even heard of K-melon until right now and I googled it to make sure you weren’t pulling my leg. If you choose to use these browsers then I guess some sites not showing as they should is going to be something that you will have to contend with.

  • Losing weight quickly and easily seems to be more of a marketing phrase than reality. The only way I know of losing weight easily and fast is tapeworm, but that is dangerous to your health.

  • As far as I can see if you consume fewer calories than you use you will lose weight. I also realize that losing of weight too quickly can cause you to canabalize its own muscles to make up for the energy deficit. So if this really helps you lose weight fast then it would be amazing.
