Buy, buy an American Pie?

If you haven’t seen this video, check it out. It’s funny but sad and very true for the most part.

The thing about this is that while this video is referencing the imports from China and making that out to be the problem (which they obviously can be), food being produced in America is unfortunately no better for the most part.  Some of the worst food on the planet is being created in the USA, in particular  GM foods of course. In the US, GM ingredients are rampant in the food supply with no way of knowing how much harm they are doing. Monsanto (obviously) have massive sway with the US government and are getting their own way over there, while trying to force their unwanted products on the rest of the world. In the US they have not only huge amounts of GE corn, soy, canola and other crops, rBGH milk, irradiated almonds, and much more they also have vested interests doing their best to undermine the Organic standards in an obvious effort to allow their garbage to be classed as Organic and again sold to an unsuspecting public.

I personally avoid imports from the USA like the plague. My trust for any foods grown or produced in the USA are below China for me I’m afraid. I just don’t buy it.

Quite apart from the GM question, there are companies all over the world creating processed chemical muck and selling it disguised as food to an unwary public. Sadly if it carries on, it’ll be Bye, bye human population – never mind the American Pie!
